We want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains your legal rights and how returns work when ordering from www.projectscent.co.uk.


1. Your Right to Cancel (Change of Mind)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.

You must notify us within 14 days of delivery.
You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.

2. Condition of Returned Goods

To be eligible for a refund:

  • Items must be unused

  • Items must be unopened

  • Seals must remain intact (where applicable)

  • Items must be returned in resaleable condition

Due to hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of opened bath, body or fragrance products unless faulty.


3. Inspired Fragrance Disclaimer

Project Scent offers fragrances inspired by well-known perfumes, aftershaves and popular scents.

  • We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any designer brands.

  • Our fragrances are interpretations created to evoke a similar scent profile.

  • They are not identical to the original fragrance.

  • Scent perception and strength are subjective and may vary between individuals.

A difference in scent similarity or strength does not constitute a fault.

Opened fragrance products cannot be returned due to scent preference.


4. Gift Wrap & Personalisation

Gift wrapping is a service provided at your request.

  • The gift wrap service charge is non-refundable once completed.

  • Selection of bow colour or standard gift wrap options does not remove your statutory cancellation rights.

  • Orders containing a personalised message tag are considered personalised and are exempt from cancellation rights unless faulty.

If non-personalised gift wrap is returned, the product must remain unopened and resaleable.


5. Non-Returnable Items

The right to cancel does not apply to:

  • Personalised message tag orders

  • Custom-made items

  • Opened bath or body products

  • Opened fragrance products

  • Used wax melts

  • Any product returned damaged or in unsellable condition


6. Return Postage Costs

If you cancel within the cooling-off period:

  • You are responsible for return postage costs.

  • We recommend a tracked service, as we are not responsible for lost returns.

We will only cover return costs if:

  • The item is faulty

  • The item is incorrect

  • The item is not as described


7. Refunds

If cancellation is valid, we will refund:

  • The cost of the goods

  • The cost of the least expensive standard delivery option selected

We do not refund:

  • Upgraded delivery services

  • Return postage costs

  • Gift wrap service charges

Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.


8. Faulty Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be:

  • As described

  • Of satisfactory quality

  • Fit for purpose

If your item is faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
